何を観ようかな
「今日はなに観ようかな〜」と思って、U-NEXTをぐるぐる。
でも、なかなかピンとくるものがない日ってあるよね。
そんな中で目に止まったのが、この映画。
『オン・ザ・ハイウェイ その夜、86分』（原題：Locke） 2013年のイギリス映画で、監督はスティーヴン・ナイト。
主演はトム・ハーディ。 なんと、全編ほぼ車の中だけで進むという珍しい作品。
「車の中だけで話が終わる？え、それ面白いの？」って、気になるやん。
こういう地味そうな映画、意外と好き。
本当に面白いの？
観始めて5分後、正直こう思った。
「これ、本当に面白くなるん？」 だって、派手なアクションがあるわけでもない。
謎解きがあるわけでもない。 ただ主人公が車を運転して、ひたすら電話してるだけ。
でも、不思議なことにどんどん引き込まれていった。
86分間の電話
この映画、たった86分間の出来事なんだよね。
その86分で、主人公の人生が大きく変わる。
電話しているだけなのに、相手の表情が想像できるくらいリアル。
「今、相手はどんな顔してる？」って頭の中で勝手にシーンが浮かぶ。
そして… トム・ハーディ、絶対惚れるやつ。
だって全シーン、ほぼ彼の顔のアップ。 声の低さと落ち着きが、たまらん。笑
この映画、彼の声にかかってると言ってもいい。
一夜ですべてが崩れる
物語は、浮気相手が出産を迎えた夜。
主人公の男は、家族を置いて車を走らせる。 工事現場の責任者という大きな仕事を抱えたまま。
そして… 一夜にして、仕事も、家庭も、すべて失う。
⸻ 「もっと良いやり方あったやろ？」
「今このタイミングじゃないとダメ？」 そうツッコミながら観てた。
でも、彼は逃げなかった。 父親としての責任を取ろうとしたのだと思う。 浮気はダメ。不倫もダメ。
でも、「あやまちの結果に向き合う誠実さ」はあったのかもしれない。
車内だけで物語が完結するすごさ
この映画のすごいところは、本当に車内だけで話が進むところ。
電話の相手のシーンは出てこない。
でも声とセリフだけで、ちゃんと物語ができている。
こういう映画、苦手な人には全く刺さらないと思う。
でも、私はドハマりした。 地味なはずなのに、ものすごく面白い。
見終わったあと
見終わったあと、考えた。
「主人公は、車から降りて何を思ったんだろう」って。
そこから彼の人生はさらに厳しくなるんだろう。
でもまずは… 赤ちゃん、おめでとう。 無事に生まれてよかったね。
最後に
『オン・ザ・ハイウェイ その夜、86分』は、 車の中だけで86分間、電話をし続けるだけの映画。
だけど、その86分で人の人生が変わってしまう。
こういう一見地味だけど深い映画も、私は好きだ。
派手な映画に疲れたときに、静かに観てほしい1本。
トム・ハーディの声と演技に、きっと惚れると思う。笑

Sometimes I just want to watch something.
I was scrolling through U-NEXT thinking, “Hmm… what should I watch tonight?”
Nothing really caught my eye—until this one did.
“Locke” (2013), directed by Steven Knight and starring Tom Hardy.
A British film that takes place entirely inside a car.
I thought, “Wait… a whole movie in a car? That can’t be interesting, right?”
But somehow, that made me curious.
I like those quiet, simple-looking films that surprise you.
🎞️ Is It Actually Interesting?
Five minutes in, I honestly thought,
“Okay, but… when does it get good?”
There’s no action, no mystery—just a man driving and making phone calls.
That’s it.
And yet, minute by minute, I found myself completely drawn in.
☎️ Eighty-Six Minutes of Phone Calls
The entire movie takes place in real time—86 minutes.
And during those 86 minutes, the main character’s entire life falls apart.
Even though we only hear the voices of the people he talks to,
their emotions are so vivid you can picture their faces.
It’s like your mind fills in the missing visuals automatically.
And Tom Hardy… yeah, he’s impossible not to fall for.
Every shot is basically his face.
That calm, deep voice—it carries the whole film.
🌙 One Night, and Everything Falls Apart
The story begins the night his mistress goes into labor.
He leaves home, gets in his car, and drives through the night—
while still holding responsibility for a huge construction project.
By morning, he’s lost it all—
his job, his family, everything.
While watching, I kept thinking,
“Wasn’t there a better way to handle this?”
“Did it have to be tonight?”
But he didn’t run away.
Maybe he just wanted to face the consequences like a man—
to take responsibility, even for his mistake.
🚘 The Power of Staying in the Car
What amazed me most was how the entire story happens inside the car.
We never see the other people, only hear them.
And yet, it feels complete.
It might bore some people.
But for me, it was perfect.
Minimal, emotional, quietly powerful.
🌧️ After It Ends
When it was over, I couldn’t stop thinking:
What did he feel when he finally stepped out of the car?
His life was probably only going to get harder from there.
But still… congratulations on the baby.
I’m glad the baby was born safely.
💭 In the End
“Locke” is a movie about one man in a car, making calls for 86 minutes.
That’s all.
But within that short time, his entire life changes.
Simple, quiet, but deeply human—
the kind of movie that lingers long after it ends.
If you’re tired of loud, flashy films,
watch this one in the dark, alone, and just… listen.
You’ll probably fall for Tom Hardy’s voice too. 😌
