悪魔は本当にそこにいたのか、それとも…？

✍️どんな映画？

この映画も、いつものようにU-NEXTをぶらぶらしていて見つけた一本。

タイトルは『デビル（原題：Devil）』。

正直に言うと、悪魔系や悪霊系って似たような展開が多いイメージがある。

「どうせ誰かに取り憑くんでしょ？」

「最後は祈って終わるやつ？」

そんなふうに思って、普段はあまり積極的には選ばないジャンル。

でも今回は違った。

惹かれた理由はただひとつ。

“エレベーターの中だけで話が進む”

これ。

密室ホラー、好きなんです。

逃げ場がない。

閉じ込められる。

見てるだけで息苦しいのに、なぜか気になる。

たぶん私は、そういう映画に弱い。笑

この日も息子と一緒に観始めた。

すると開口一番。

「今度は何？ デビル？ もうタイトルで悪魔ってわかっとるやん。これはどうしようもないやつ」

……と言いながら、

最後までしっかり観てました。笑

🚪エレベーターという名の密室

物語は、高層ビルのエレベーターに閉じ込められた5人の男女から始まる。

知り合いじゃない。

偶然乗り合わせただけ。

それだけだったはずなのに、

次々と人が死んでいく。

「なんで？」

「理由もなく？」

「次は誰？」

「どうやって？」

観ながら頭の中はずっとそれ。

だって逃げ場がない。

エレベーターの中だよ？

閉所恐怖症気味の私は、

見てるだけでちょっと苦しくなる。

「早く助けてあげてー！」

って思うのに、

なぜか目が離せない。

事故なのか。

殺人なのか。

それとも本当に――。

やがて明かされる。

この中に悪魔がいる。

いや待って。

それどういうこと？

なんで？

誰？

もう頭の中が大渋滞。笑

👮外から見守る刑事がいい

この映画、

実はエレベーターだけじゃ終わらない。

もうひとつの軸がある。

それが、

現場に駆けつけた刑事。

監視カメラ越しに状況を見ながら、

なんとか助けようと動く。

これがまた良かった。

渋い。

落ち着いてる。

でも必死。

「どうする？」

「頑張れ！」

って思わず応援してしまう。

派手なヒーローじゃない。

でもちゃんとカッコいい。

こういうタイプ好き。

😈悪魔は何をしに来たのか

エレベーターの中で人が減っていく。

残るのはひとり。

ここで終わりかと思った。

でも終わらなかった。

実はこの事件。

刑事自身の過去とも繋がっていた。

妻子を奪った事故。

失われた家族。

そして、

その原因になった人物。

そこで出てくる言葉。

“I forgive you.”

「許す」

✨許すってなんだろう

このシーンを観た時、

私は考えた。

「私なら許せる？」

たとえば、

家族を奪われたら？

大切な人を失ったら？

正直。

私は無理だと思う。

一生憎むかもしれない。

一生苦しんでほしいと思うかもしれない。

罪を償ったとしても、

消えないものはある。

でも刑事は、

許した。

たぶん、

罪を無かったことにしたんじゃない。

忘れたわけでもない。

相手のためじゃなく、

自分自身のため。

憎しみに縛られ続けないため。

自分を解放するため。

そんな「許し」だったんじゃないかなと思った。

🎬悪魔ホラーと思っていたら…

観る前は、

「悪魔モノかぁ」

って少し身構えてた。

でも観終わった感想は違った。

「ちゃんとストーリーあるやん！」

テンポもいい。

無駄も少ない。

密室ホラーとして普通に面白かった。

正直、

1回観たら満足かなとも思った。

……でも。

ここで事件発生。

制作を見る。

待って。

シャマラン！？

それ早く言って！？笑

急に評価変わるやつやん。

シャマラン作品って、

1回目より2回目が面白いこと多い。

伏線。

違和感。

何気ないセリフ。

全部見返したくなる。

映画好きあるあるだと思う。笑

『デビル』は、

ただの悪魔ホラーじゃなかった。

エレベーターという密室。

逃げ場のない恐怖。

人間の罪。

そして、

最後の「許す」という言葉。

観終わったあと、

少しだけ自分に問いかけたくなる映画。

「もし私だったら、許せる？」

私はまだ答えが出ていない。

でも、

そう考えさせられた時点で、

この映画は勝ちだったのかもしれない。

そしてシャマラン好きなら、

たぶん一度は観てほしい。

This was another random pick from U-NEXT.

I was wandering through the horror and suspense section when Devil caught my eye.

Honestly, I don’t usually choose demon or possession movies.

A lot of them feel similar.

You know…

“Someone gets possessed.”

“People panic.”

“Someone prays at the end.”

That kind of thing. 😂

But this one was different.

The thing that caught my attention was:

The entire story happens inside an elevator.

I love closed-space horror.

No escape.

No way out.

Watching it feels suffocating…

And somehow that makes me want to watch even more.

I started watching with my son.

His first comment was:

“What now? Devil? The title already tells you it’s about demons. There’s no fixing this one.”

And then…

He stayed until the end. 😂

🚪 The Horror of an Elevator

The story begins with five strangers trapped inside an elevator in a high-rise building.

They don’t know each other.

They just happened to be there together.

At least…

That’s how it starts.

Then people begin to die.

I kept thinking:

“Why?”

“Who’s next?”

“How is this happening?”

Because there’s nowhere to run.

It’s an elevator.

A tiny box.

As someone who is slightly claustrophobic…

I was struggling just watching it.

I kept thinking:

“Please fix the elevator already!”

But I couldn’t stop watching.

Is it an accident?

Murder?

Or something else?

Then comes the revelation:

There is a devil among them.

Wait.

What!?

How?

Who?

My brain completely stopped. 😂

👮 The Detective Storyline Was Great

The movie isn’t only about the elevator.

There’s another important side of the story.

A detective arrives at the scene.

He watches everything through security cameras and desperately tries to help.

And honestly?

He was cool.

Not flashy.

Not an action hero.

Just serious.

Calm.

Determined.

I found myself saying:

“Come on!”

“You can do it!”

I was fully supporting him by the end.

😈 Why Did the Devil Come?

People keep dying.

One by one.

Eventually only one remains.

I thought:

“Okay… this must be the ending.”

But it wasn’t.

Because the story suddenly becomes personal.

We learn about the detective’s past.

His wife and child died in an accident.

And the person responsible…

Then comes one simple line:

“I forgive you.”

✨ What Does “Forgiveness” Mean?

That moment stayed with me.

I started asking myself:

“Could I forgive someone?”

Someone who took away my family?

Someone who destroyed my life?

Honestly?

I don’t think I could.

I might hate them forever.

I might want them to suffer forever.

Even if they paid for what they did…

Some pain never disappears.

But the detective forgave.

Not because the crime vanished.

Not because it became okay.

Maybe…

He forgave to free himself.

Because carrying hatred forever also becomes a prison.

That idea hit me harder than the horror.

🎬 More Than Just a Devil Movie

Before watching, I thought:

“Okay, another demon movie.”

After watching:

“Wait… this actually had a solid story.”

Good pacing.

No wasted scenes.

Strong tension.

As a closed-space thriller, it worked really well.

Honestly?

I thought:

“One watch is enough.”

Then I saw something.

Production:

M. Night Shyamalan

WAIT.

SHYAMALAN!?

Why didn’t anyone tell me sooner!? 😂

Because Shyamalan movies are dangerous.

You finish them…

Then immediately want to watch again.

The clues.

The details.

The little moments.

Movie fans know exactly what I mean.

🌙 Final Thoughts

Devil wasn’t just horror.

It was:

Fear.

Guilt.

Human nature.

And forgiveness.

The elevator creates tension.

The detective brings emotion.

And the final message stays with you.

When the movie ended, I found myself asking:

“Could I forgive?”

I still don’t know the answer.

But maybe that means the movie did its job.
