『ザ・コンサルタント（原題：The Accountant）』。
2016年公開のアメリカ映画で、監督はギャビン・オコナー、主演はベン・アフレック。
ジャンルとしてはアクション・スリラー。
……なんだけど。
ただのアクション映画じゃない。
知的で、静かで、ちょっと不器用で、でもめちゃくちゃ強い。
そう、“ギャップ萌え”の宝庫みたいな映画なんです。

私はこの映画、大・大・大好き。
もう何回観たかわからない。
最初は職場の人に、
「絶対好きなやつだから観てみて！」
って言われて観たんだけど、ほんとにどストライクだった。
観終わったあと、真っ先に思った。
「ネクタイにメガネって最高すぎん？」
って。笑

最初にタイトルを聞いた時は、
「会計士が主人公？地味そう…」
って思ってた。
でも、この主人公クリスチャン・ウルフが、ただの会計士じゃない。
天才的な数学能力を持っていて、超一流の腕を持つ裏社会専門の会計士。
しかも――
裏の顔は、殺し屋。
まさかのWワーク。笑
でも、この設定がびっくりするくらいカッコいい。

クリスはASD（自閉スペクトラム症）の特性を持っていて、感情表現やコミュニケーションが少し独特。
人付き合いも得意じゃない。
でも、その代わりに数字への才能が圧倒的。
危険な組織の“裏帳簿”を一瞬で見抜くし、さらに武器の扱いも超一流。

……強すぎるやろ。笑
そりゃ惚れる。

📊ギャップがすごい主人公
私が特に好きなのが、ホワイトボードのシーン。
会社で、壁いっぱいに数字を書き続けるんだけど、その集中力がすごい。
ちょっと怖いくらい。
しかも途中でマーカーが書けなくなって、無言でポイッ。
すると――
ゴミ箱にスパーン！！
いや、かっこよすぎる。笑
なんでもない動作なのに、妙に印象に残る。

でも、彼の魅力って“強さ”だけじゃない。
冷たそうに見えて、実はすごく優しい。
言葉にするのは苦手なのに、人を守ろうとしてるのがちゃんと伝わってくる。
その不器用さが、またいい。

🥲兄弟の物語に泣く
この映画、実はかなり“家族の話”でもある。
クリスには弟がいて、その兄弟関係が物語の大事な軸になってる。
しかも、子ども時代の家庭環境がかなり特殊。
父親の教育も厳しくて、普通とはかなり違う。
だからこそ、兄弟で支え合って生きてきたんだろうなって感じる。
そして大人になってからの再会。
もうね……
普通に泣ける。
殺し屋映画なのに、なんでこんなに感動するん！？って思った。

🔥『ザ・コンサルタント2』も最高だった
そして待望の続編、
『ザ・コンサルタント2』。
これもめちゃくちゃ良かった。
前作より少しコメディ感が増えていて、兄弟のやり取りがまた最高。
殺し屋兄弟のコンビネーションとか、贅沢すぎる。笑
でも、ちゃんと“静かなかっこよさ”はそのまま。
派手すぎるアクションじゃなくて、
「うわ、この人強い……」
ってジワッとくるタイプ。
私はこういうアクションの方が好き。

あと、この映画の好きなところ。
クリスが“無敵寄り”なところ。笑
ボロボロになりすぎない。
安心して観られる。
「絶対なんとかするやろ」って信頼感がある。
それもまた、この映画の魅力だと思う。

🌙ASDでもSADでも、“自分らしく”
この映画を観ていて感じるのは、
「生きづらさを抱えながら、どう生きるか」
ってこと。
ASDの特性を持つクリスは、社会の中でうまく馴染めない部分もある。
でも、自分の能力をちゃんと武器にして生きてる。
それがすごく印象に残った。
SAD（社交不安障害）とかもそうだけど、
- 人とうまく話せない
- 理解されづらい
- 生きづらい
そういう感覚って、たぶん色んな人が持ってる。
でも、この映画は、
「それでもいい」
って言ってくれてる感じがした。
なんだか少し、救われる。

……いや、恋するやろ。笑
ネクタイ。
メガネ。
冷静沈着。
静か。
必要な時は守ってくれる。
完璧やん。
こういう、“ただのアクションじゃない映画”って好き。
ちゃんと人間ドラマがあって、感情が動く。
しかも1も2もクオリティ高い。
何回観ても飽きない。
落ち込んだ時とか、
疲れてる時とか、
「また観ようかな」
って思える映画。
私にとっての“元気チャージ映画”です。

『ザ・コンサルタント』シリーズは、
静かなのに熱い。
ぶっ飛んでるのに共感できる。
そんな不思議な魅力のある映画。

Ties and Glasses? Completely My Type
Falling in Love with a Hitman
The Accountant is a 2016 American action thriller directed by Gavin O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck.
But honestly?
Calling it “just an action movie” feels wrong.
It’s smart, quiet, intense, awkward, emotional… and somehow incredibly cool at the same time.
Basically, this movie is a giant collection of “gap moe.”
And I love it.

I seriously love this movie.
I’ve watched it so many times that I stopped counting.
A coworker once told me:
“You’ll absolutely love this movie. Watch it.”
And wow… they were right.
The moment it ended, my first thought was:
“A man in glasses and a tie should not be this attractive.”
Seriously. 😂

At first, I thought:
“An accountant as the main character? Sounds kind of boring…”
But Christian Wolff is not a normal accountant.
He’s a mathematical genius who works for dangerous criminal organizations, uncovering hidden financial fraud.
And on top of that?
He’s also a highly trained assassin.
An accountant… and a hitman.
What kind of double life is this? 😂
And somehow, it works perfectly.

Christian has traits associated with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
He struggles with communication and emotional expression, and he often seems distant from people around him.
But at the same time, his abilities are extraordinary.
He can see patterns nobody else notices.
He understands numbers instantly.
And when things get dangerous… he becomes terrifyingly skilled.
So let’s summarize:
Tie
Glasses
Genius
Assassin
That combination is unfair. 😂
Of course I’m going to fall for him.

📊 The Gap Between Quiet and Dangerous
One of my favorite scenes is when Christian is writing equations all over a whiteboard.
The level of concentration is almost scary.
Then suddenly, his marker stops working.
Without saying a word, he casually tosses it behind him…
…and it lands perfectly in the trash can.
Why was that so cool? 😂
It’s such a small moment, but somehow unforgettable.

But what makes him truly interesting isn’t just his strength.
Underneath the cold exterior, he’s surprisingly kind.
He struggles to express emotions openly, yet you can feel how deeply he cares about protecting people.
That quiet kindness hits hard.

🥲 The Story About Brothers
This movie is also deeply about family.
Christian’s relationship with his younger brother becomes one of the emotional cores of the story.
Their childhood was difficult.
Their father’s way of raising them was harsh and unusual.
So the brothers learned to survive together.
And when the movie finally explores their relationship as adults…
Honestly?
I cried.
How does a movie about assassins become emotional like this? 😂

🔥 The Accountant 2 Was Amazing Too
And finally, the long-awaited sequel arrived:
The Accountant 2.
I loved it.
The second movie adds a little more humor, especially between the brothers.
Watching assassin brothers working together should not be this entertaining.
But the best part is that Christian still feels exactly like himself.
Quiet.
Sharp.
Dangerous.
Not flashy in an over-the-top action movie way.
More like:
“…This guy is terrifyingly capable.”
That kind of cool.
And honestly, I prefer that.

Also, I kind of love that Christian feels almost unbeatable. 😂
He doesn’t spend the whole movie helplessly suffering.
There’s this comforting feeling that:
“Yeah, he’ll figure it out.”
And that makes the movie incredibly satisfying to watch.

🌙 ASD, SAD, and Being Yourself
What stayed with me most is how the movie portrays “living with difficulties.”
Christian struggles socially.
People misunderstand him.
He doesn’t fit naturally into the world around him.
But instead of changing who he is completely, he learns how to survive using his own strengths.
That really touched me.
Whether it’s ASD, SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder), or any kind of emotional struggle, a lot of people know what it feels like to live differently from others.
To feel misunderstood.
To feel awkward.
To feel like you don’t belong.
But this movie quietly says:
“You can still live as yourself.”
And honestly… that felt comforting.

💘 Is It Okay to Fall for a Hitman?
I mean… yes. Absolutely. 😂
Tie.
Glasses.
Calm personality.
Quiet intelligence.
Protective when it matters.
Come on. That’s unfair.
Movies like this are my favorite because they’re not just about action.
There’s emotion.
Family.
Connection.
Both movies are genuinely good, and I never get tired of watching them.
Whenever I’m exhausted, stressed, or emotionally drained, this is one of those movies that makes me think:
“Maybe I should watch it again.”
It’s one of my comfort movies.

The Accountant series is quiet but intense.
Ridiculous at times, yet strangely emotional.
If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it.
You might end up falling in love with a hitman in glasses and a tie too. 😂
