これは前からずっと気になっていた映画。
『交渉人（The Negotiator）』
1998年公開のクライム・サスペンス映画。
U-NEXTでも何度かおすすめに出てきていたけど、ずっと避けていた。
理由は単純。
苦手そうだったから。笑
私はホラーやサメ映画は大丈夫。
人が追いかけられるのも大丈夫。
でも、
言葉の駆け引き。
心理戦。
交渉。
こういうのは逆に緊張する。
観ていて疲れるタイプだと思っていた。
出演はサミュエル・L・ジャクソン。
名前を見た時点で、
「たぶん面白いんやろな」
とは思っていた。
でも、
交渉する映画。
話し合いの映画。
きっと静かな映画なんだろうと思っていた。
……全然違った。笑
この日、映画を再生した時、
たまたま息子もリビングにいた。
普段なら途中で自室に戻ってゲームを始める。
でも今回は違った。
開始してしばらくすると、
「犯人、あの人じゃない？」
と考察開始。笑
そこからどんどん引き込まれていった。
親子そろって映画モードである。
🎭 思っていたより観やすい
ストーリーは意外とわかりやすい。
複雑すぎない。
私でもちゃんと追える。笑
もっと難しい心理戦かと思っていたけど、
テンポがいい。
次々進む。
だから飽きない。
私は途中から、
「まあ最終的には正義が勝つやろ」
と思って安心して観ていた。
それでも、
「え、大丈夫なん？」
「それヤバくない？」
って何回も焦る。笑
犯人の予想がついていても、
結局どう終わるのか気になって、
最後まで一気に観てしまった。
ひとつ気になったのはラスト。
サミュエル演じるダニーが、
その後どういう扱いになったのか。
処分とか復帰とか、
そのあたりは描かれていなかった。
だから少しだけ、
「その後どうなったん？」
って気になった。
😂 ゲームより映画が勝った日
観終わったあと、
息子が言った。
「ゲームしようと思ってたのに、最後まで観てしまったー！」
笑
それだけ面白かったってことなんだと思う。
テンポもいい。
緊張感もある。
途中で止めづらい。
気づいたら最後。
そんな映画だった。
🤝 交渉人 VS 交渉人
この映画の面白いところって、
交渉人同士が向き合うところだと思う。
普通の犯人と警察じゃない。
相手も交渉のプロ。
だから、
言葉の一つひとつに意味がある。
駆け引きがある。
ちなみに私なら無理。笑
交渉人に話しかけられたら、
5分で落ちる。
たぶん。
「はい、わかりました」
って言う。笑
むしろ3分かもしれない。
あと後半の救出シーン。
あれ、迫力すごかった。
高層ビルの中であそこまでやって、
よく生き残ったなって思う。笑
でも、
あれは仲間との信頼関係も大きかったのかもしれない。
ただ、
警察組織って怖いなとも思った。
あんなに一気に空気が変わるんや……って。
最後は息子とツッコミ大会だった。笑
🎬 久しぶりに“名作”を観た感じ
正直、
これは当たりだった。
久しぶりに、
「名作観たなぁ」
って感じた映画。
ホラーみたいな怖さじゃない。
でも、
ハラハラは止まらない。
心理戦なのにアクションもある。
ちゃんと熱い。
ただ、
からくりがわかってしまったので、
私はたぶんすぐには観ない。笑
……いや、
忘れた頃にまた観るかもしれん。
映画の内容すぐ忘れるし。笑
その時は、
また息子と考察しながら観ようと思う。
というわけで、
久しぶりの名作でした。
次はまた映画で。
ではまた。

🎬 The Negotiator
I’d Probably Give In After Five Minutes. 😂
This was a movie I’d been curious about for a long time.
The Negotiator (1998).
A crime thriller that had been recommended to me on U-NEXT more than once.
But I always skipped it.
The reason was simple.
It didn’t seem like my kind of movie. 😂
I love horror movies.
Shark movies.
People being chased?
No problem.
But…
Verbal battles.
Psychological games.
Negotiation.
Those are the kinds of movies that make me nervous.
I thought I’d be exhausted just watching it.
The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson.
The moment I saw his name, I thought,
“This is probably going to be good.”
Still…
A movie about negotiating.
A movie where people mostly talk.
I imagined it would be slow and quiet.
…
I was completely wrong. 😂
When I started the movie,
my son happened to be in the living room.
Normally he’d watch for a few minutes,
then head back to his room to play video games.
Not this time.
A little while into the movie, he suddenly said,
“I think that guy is the real culprit.”
And just like that,
the detective theories began. 😂
Before we knew it,
both of us were completely hooked.
🎭 Much Easier to Follow Than I Expected
The story was surprisingly easy to understand.
It wasn’t overly complicated.
Even I could keep up with everything. 😂
I expected a much more complicated psychological battle,
but the pacing was excellent.
The story kept moving.
There was never a dull moment.
Halfway through,
I found myself thinking,
“Well… good will probably win in the end.”
That made me relax a little.
Even so,
I kept saying,
“Wait… is this really okay?”
“That’s a terrible idea!”
more times than I could count. 😂
Even when I thought I knew who the bad guy was,
I still had to see how everything would end.
So I watched the whole movie in one sitting.
The only thing I wondered about
was the ending.
What happened to Danny after everything was over?
Did he return to work?
Was he punished?
The movie never really explained it.
So I was left thinking,
“I wonder what happened after that.”
😂 The Day a Movie Beat Video Games
When the credits rolled,
my son laughed and said,
“I was going to play games…
but I ended up watching the whole movie!”
😂
That probably says everything.
The pacing is great.
The tension never lets up.
It’s the kind of movie that’s hard to pause.
Before you know it,
it’s over.
🤝 Negotiator vs. Negotiator
One of my favorite things about this movie
is that it’s a battle between two negotiators.
Not just a criminal and the police.
Both sides are experts.
Every word matters.
Every conversation is a strategy.
That’s what makes it so interesting.
As for me…
I’d never survive. 😂
If a negotiator started talking to me,
I’d probably give in after five minutes.
Maybe less.
I’d just say,
“Okay… you’re right.”
😂
Actually…
maybe three minutes.
The rescue scene near the end
was incredible.
Everything happening inside that skyscraper…
I honestly couldn’t believe they survived. 😂
But I guess that’s what trust between teammates can do.
It also reminded me
how scary a police organization can be.
The atmosphere changed so quickly.
By the end,
my son and I were making jokes and commenting on everything. 😂
🎬 A Movie That Truly Feels Like a Classic
Honestly,
this one was a great surprise.
It had been a while since I’d watched a movie
that made me think,
“That was a classic.”
It isn’t horror.
But the suspense never stops.
It combines psychological tension with action,
and somehow manages to be exciting the whole way through.
Now that I know the twists,
I probably won’t watch it again anytime soon. 😂
…
Then again,
I’ll probably forget most of it eventually.
I always do. 😂
When that happens,
I’ll watch it again with my son,
and we’ll probably spend the whole movie making theories all over again.
So yes,
this one was definitely worth watching.
