これはもう、

大好き。

何回観たかわからない。

きっかけは、前に勤めていた職場の人におすすめされたことだった。

作品名は、

『キャッチ・ミー・イフ・ユー・キャン』

2002年公開。

ジャンルはクライム、ドラマ寄りだけど、テンポも軽くてすごく観やすい。

主演は、

レオナルド・ディカプリオ。

そして、

トム・ハンクス。

もうね。

この時点で強い。笑

ディカプリオかっこいい。

それは言うまでもない。

でも、

この映画は**”かっこいい”だけで終わらない。**

話が本当にいい。

映画が始まると、

逃げる。

また逃げる。

さらに逃げる。

ずっと逃げる。笑

観ている私は、

「トム・ハンクス！早く捕まえて！！」

って思う。

でも次の瞬間、

「ディカプリオ逃げてーー！！」

ってなる。笑

どっちを応援してるんかわからん。

完全に感情が迷子。笑

それにしても、

よく逃げる。

いや本当に。

「そこ抜ける！？」

「それ通る！？」

って何回も思った。

感心するレベル。

しかもこれ、

実話ベース。

ここがまたすごい。

主人公のモデルになった人物は、

10代の頃から詐欺を繰り返していたらしい。

パイロット。

医師。

弁護士。

いろんな肩書きを使って、

次々すり抜けていく。

いや、

本当にできるん？

って思う。笑

もちろん時代背景もある。

今なら無理なことも多かったんだろうなと思う。

でも、

それでもすごい。

頭の回転が速すぎる。

あと私、

この題名も好き。

Catch Me If You Can

直訳すると、

「捕まえられるなら捕まえてみて」

みたいな感じ。

なんかいいよね。

挑発っぽくて。

映画そのものって感じ。

🌧 育った環境って大きい

この映画を観るたびに思う。

育った環境って大事なんだなって。

主人公は、

大好きで尊敬していた両親の離婚を経験する。

そこから少しずつ歯車がずれていく。

私はそこがすごく印象に残った。

私自身も離婚家庭。

だから少し考えてしまった。

もちろん、

環境だけで全部決まるわけじゃない。

同じ経験をしても、

みんな違う。

でも、

彼にとっては大きすぎたんだろうなと思う。

受け止めきれないくらい。

現実逃避だったのかもしれない。

……

いや、

逃避しすぎやろ！笑

ってツッコミたくなるけど。笑

それでも、

根っこにある寂しさとか、

家族への思いとか、

そういう部分が見えるから、

ただの詐欺映画じゃ終わらない。

🎬 最後まで止まらない

この映画、

本当にテンポがいい。

ぐいぐい進む。

長さを感じない。

気づいたら最後。

そしてラスト。

私は好き。

すごく好き。

派手じゃない。

でも綺麗に終わる。

観終わったあと、

なんか少しホッとする。

というわけで、

『キャッチ・ミー・イフ・ユー・キャン』

ディカプリオがかっこいい。

トム・ハンクスもいい。

でもそれだけじゃない。

家族。

孤独。

逃げ続けた先にあるもの。

そういうのまで描かれた映画だった。

あんまり「かっこいい、かっこいい」って言ってると、

エリーがヤキモチ妬いちゃう。笑

たぶんまた観る。

そしてまた、

「逃げてーー！！」

「いや捕まえてーー！！」

って言うと思う。笑

It’s More Than Just “Cool”

Seriously… This Actually Happened!?

I absolutely love this movie.

I’ve watched it so many times that I’ve lost count.

I first heard about it from someone I used to work with.

They told me,

“You have to watch this.”

The movie is

Catch Me If You Can.

It was released in 2002.

It’s mainly a crime drama,

but it’s fast-paced and incredibly easy to watch.

The stars are

Leonardo DiCaprio…

and Tom Hanks.

Honestly,

that combination alone is already enough. 😂

DiCaprio is handsome.

That goes without saying.

But this movie is about much more than that.

The story itself is fantastic.

Once the movie starts,

he runs.

Then he runs again.

Then he runs some more.

He spends the whole movie running away. 😂

While I’m watching,

I’m thinking,

“Tom Hanks! Hurry up and catch him!!”

Then a few seconds later,

I’m shouting,

“DiCaprio, run!!”

😂

I honestly have no idea which one I’m cheering for.

My emotions are completely confused.

Seriously though…

he escapes so many times.

I kept thinking,

“You got through there!?“

“You escaped that way!?“

It was actually impressive.

And the amazing part is…

it’s based on a true story.

That’s what makes it even more unbelievable.

The real person who inspired the main character

started committing fraud while he was still a teenager.

He pretended to be

a pilot,

a doctor,

and a lawyer.

He kept slipping through everyone’s fingers,

using one fake identity after another.

I couldn’t help thinking,

“Could someone really do that?”

😂

Of course,

it was a different time.

There are probably a lot of things that wouldn’t be possible today.

But even so…

it’s incredible.

He was unbelievably quick-thinking.

I also love the title.

Catch Me If You Can.

It basically means,

“If you can catch me… then go ahead.”

I like that.

It sounds playful.

Almost like a challenge.

It perfectly matches the movie.

🌧 The Environment You Grow Up In Matters

Every time I watch this movie,

I find myself thinking

how important your childhood environment really is.

---

The main character experiences the divorce of the parents he loved and admired.

That’s when everything slowly begins to fall apart.

That part always stays with me.

---

I also grew up in a divorced family.

So it made me think.

Of course,

your environment doesn’t decide everything.

Two people can go through the same experience

and end up living completely different lives.

---

But for him,

it must have been too much to handle.

More than he could accept.

---

Maybe running away from reality

was the only thing he knew how to do.

…

Although…

he definitely took it a little too far! 😂

I can’t help laughing at that.

Even so,

you can still see

his loneliness,

his love for his family,

and the sadness buried underneath everything.

That’s why this movie is much more

than just another movie about fraud.

🎬 It Never Slows Down

The pacing of this movie

is excellent.

It keeps moving.

It never feels long.

Before you know it,

it’s over.

And the ending…

I really love it.

It’s not flashy.

But it ends beautifully.

When the movie is over,

I always feel strangely relieved.

Catch Me If You Can.

DiCaprio is handsome.

Tom Hanks is wonderful too.

But that’s not all this movie has to offer.

It’s about family.

Loneliness.

And what waits at the end

of a life spent running away.

That’s what makes it so memorable.

If I keep talking about how handsome DiCaprio is,

Ellie might start getting jealous. 😂

I always enjoy it.
